Internship Overview

In the Spring of 2022, I was a UX Design Intern at Bridgecrest, the loan servicing division for DriveTime. During my time, the company was launching its new mobile app and redesigning the website to be cohesive with the app design. I worked on various projects throughout my internship that contributed to the team's goal of promoting the new app and updating the website. I chose a few of my most notable projects to share here.

UI Design

Account Settings Page
The entire Bridgecrest website was being redesigned during my internship and before taking on the Account Settings page I had worked on a few other pages that only needed small changes. Account Settings was a page that I needed to redesign on my own with the new style in mind.

Manage Debit Cards Page
For the Manage Debit Cards page, I worked together with another designer who was working on the Manage Bank Account Screens. Together we made sure the new design was consistent between both pages.

Manage Debit Cads and Manage Bank Acocunts

Unnecessary Tooltip
One challenging problem I was asked to solve to removing a tooltip from the payment screens. The tooltip on these screens brings up a pop-up that displays a breakdown of the amount when it is hovered over. The hover behavior doesn't work for mobile so I was tasked with removing it not only for mobile but for desktop as well.

Graphic Design

Icon Design
For a few of the pages, I worked on I needed to create new icons as well.
Internal Social Media Graphics
Before the app came out to the public it was announced on the internal social media. I created two graphics for this one that announced the app was coming soon and one that announced the app was launched. I created the design to accompany copy that was written by the UX writer on the team.
App Store and Google Play Store Graphic
I was also given the incredible opportunity to design the app preview images for the Apple Store and Google Play Store. This was a very exciting project to work on and worked through multiple iterations of my idea to make sure it was perfect. The idea was to create something simple and professional because it is not an app that you would download if you didn't already have a Bridgcrest account. The final version of my design can be viewed on the app stores now.

App Launch Social Media Campaign
When it was time to announce the app's release to the public I worked with the UX writer to create a 4 post social media campaign for twitter and Facebook.
Open Graph Image
I created an Open Graph image as well that was made to feel consistent with the App Store Graphic and other graphics related to the App.
Persona Template
One of the first things I did was create a template for personas. I was asked to create a visually appealing persona template that would allow the UX team to easily share personas with stakeholders.
